Since 2009, SAEP has carried out researches on mobile inspection technology of transformer with high voltage level. The hospital made a number of breakthroughs in key technologies such as the development of new on-board standard equipment, reactive power optimization design of large-capacity test equipment, integrated integration of test equipment, automatic control of high voltage and heavy current field inspection and safety protection. In 2009, it successfully developed the first mobile test vehicle with 220 kV (110 kV compatible) transformers in China and pioneered the mobile integrated test technology of domestic high-voltage power transformers. In 2013, it successfully took the lead in China to achieve 500 kV 220 kV) Transformer mobile test vehicle engineering applications; the end of 2015, completed the first set of the world's first 220 kV to 1000 kV development of a full range of high-voltage power transformer mobile test vehicle.
